Bunkerschlag in Doha Feb 2024

The year 2024 kicked off with three tournaments in the Middle East, specifically in Ras-Al-Khaimah, Bahrain, and Qatar. The tournament break over Christmas and New Year's was truly beneficial. I was able to work on my swing effectively after my trip to South Africa in December and clear my head a bit. Fresh and with renewed motivation, I achieved my first Top 20 result on the DP World Tour in Ras-Al-Khaimah. With rounds of 69, 68, 72, and 66 (-13), I secured the joint 20th position. The following week in Bahrain, I pushed even harder and placed myself among the top 10 for the first time. Despite very windy conditions and a challenging course, I even led after two days. Unfortunately, the weekend didn't go as planned. Nevertheless, I finished the tournament with rounds of 65, 70, 74, and 72 (-7), securing the joint 8th position. This week provided me with many new experiences, and it was incredibly enjoyable to be right up there competing at the top. Unfortunately, I couldn't carry that momentum into Qatar. I clearly missed the cut at the Qatar Masters. Nonetheless, it was a very successful Middle East Swing that has given me a lot of motivation and confidence for the season ahead. After a one-week break at home, it's already time to continue. Three tournaments in Africa are on the agenda. This week, we're in Kenya, followed by two tournaments in South Africa. Please keep your fingers crossed :-)
